Anti Slavery

This voluntary statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Chaleit takes a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all of our business dealings and relationships, as well as implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to tackle modern slavery in our own business and our supply chains.

As an equal-opportunities employer, Chaleit is committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for its employees.

Our statement highlights our commitment to this in our dealings and relationships, including our own recruitment process and supply chain.

Structure and our business

Chaleit is an international Cyber Security company, providing Cyber Digital Protection, Penetration Testing and DevSecOps services. Chaleit Services Limited is the main trading company of the Chaleit group of companies (‘Chaleit Group’). Chaleit Group operates from the UK, USA, Canada, India, EU, Australia, and New Zealand.

Our direct suppliers are predominantly UK, EU, or USA based, and support our business in the provision of SAAS and professional services.

Risks within our business

We operate in the IT professional services sector, and while this is not deemed to be a higher risk industry for modern slavery practices, we nevertheless continue to be mindful of the possible risks and implement appropriate measures to combat these.

To mitigate modern slavery risks across our business, Chaleit Group has in place the following measures:

Policies

The Chaleit Group Anti-Slavery Policy applies to all employees including full-time and part-time, contractual, permanent, and temporary employees and provides guidance to help them understand what modern slavery is, areas where it is a particular risk and how to report any suspicions that modern slavery may be taking place.

Recruitment

As part of our recruitment process for employees we carry out checks prior to any person joining. Our Recruitment team looks for potential red flags for modern slavery and follow up on any irregularities which may indicate that there is an issue. The pre-screening of individuals is carried-out by a specialist independent screening provider, who performs identity checks, reference checks, right to work checks, criminal record checks, and where applicable education and professional qualification checks.

Fair pay

We are committed to ensuring that all our people are paid fairly. We ensure that all our employees are paid above Living Wage in all the countries that we operate from.

Training

It is important to us that our colleagues are aware of the issues surrounding modern slavery and support the values of Chaleit. We therefore intend to offer a training programme for existing employees and consultants to reinforce our zero-tolerance policy and the steps to be taken in the event of any concerns.

Risks within our supply chain

As an IT professional services company, we consider that our most significant risks in relation to modern slavery relate to our supply chain. All our suppliers are risk assessed and managed in relation to modern slavery. We encourage longer term relationships across our supply chain and expect all our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners to adopt the same high standard as we do to prevent modern slavery, by ensuring all employees and workers are treated with dignity and respect in a fair and ethical environment and ensure modern slavery plays no part in their business.

Performance

Our Risk Management Team will endeavour to review and assess our Anti-Slavery commitments on a regular basis and will work with all areas of the business to meet expectations.
